Question 1

Is there really a free plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free is free for good, with no card required. Paid plans lift the limits and add extras like the daily digest email and higher MCP allowances. Start free and upgrade whenever - or never.

Question 2

What happens if I go back to Free, or a plan lapses?

Accepted Answer

You keep all your data. Anything you made beyond the Free limits stays and stays editable; you just can't add new projects or tasks until you archive enough to get back under the limit. Nothing is deleted or locked.

Question 3

Is there a trial for Pro?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pro includes a 14-day free trial - no card is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time during it for free.

Question 4

What's MCP and why does it have a limit?

Accepted Answer

MCP is how AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT talk to your Taskpile inbox directly. The daily limits are anti-abuse caps, not friction - typical use is under 200 calls per day even for power users. If you hit a limit, we'll tell you what to do.

Question 5

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancel anytime and you keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. No "contact sales" calls, no retention dark patterns.

Question 6

Do you offer refunds?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Request a full refund within 14 days of any payment, for any reason - just email us.

Question 7

What does 'forever' actually mean?

Accepted Answer

Lifetime of the product. As long as Taskpile exists, you keep the tier you paid for, with the current features and equivalent future ones. If we ever shut down the product, we'll give reasonable notice and an export tool - but forever can't outlive the company.

Question 8

What's the difference between Friend and Pro?

Accepted Answer

Friend lifts the Free ceiling - 10 projects, 1,000 tasks, 90-day history, the daily digest email. Pro removes the ceilings: unlimited projects and tasks, full history, and 5,000 MCP calls a day.

Question 9

Can I upgrade from Friend forever to Pro forever later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You'll be able to pay the difference in your settings to upgrade. We don't double-charge.

Question 10

Who am I actually paying?

Accepted Answer

Paddle is our Merchant of Record, so your card statement may show R-P-H or GeoReady.co rather than Taskpile. Paddle also collects and remits the right VAT or sales tax for your country. Your receipt comes from them, and for anything billing-related you can reach us or use Paddle's customer portal.

Pricing that's quiet about itself.
