Tips and tricks

Shortcuts and hidden touches that make Taskpile faster once you know they're there.

Capture

  • Email into your inbox

Forward an email to your personal inbox address and it lands here as a task.

  • #project and @tag shorthand

Type #project and @tag right in quick add to file a task the moment you capture it.

  • Dictate by voice

Tap the mic in quick add to speak a task instead of typing it.

  • Set your dictation language

Pick your language under Voice input so dictation recognises your words far more accurately.

On your phone

  • Swipe a task

Swipe a task right to reschedule it, or left to delete it.

Board and projects

  • Drag to reschedule

Drag a task between board columns to move it to another time.

  • Fold away a column

Click the arrow on a column header to collapse it. Taskpile remembers the state.

  • Share a project

Open a project and use the share panel to invite people by email and work through tasks together.

Everywhere

  • Jump to any task

Press Cmd or Ctrl + K to find and open any task from anywhere.

  • Quick actions menu

Open the menu on a task card for quick actions: reschedule, repeat, delegate, and more.

  • Undo a delete

Deleted the wrong task? Tap Undo on the message to bring it back.

  • Drafts are kept

Unsaved text in quick add is kept per project, so it's still there when you come back.

AI and automation

  • Connect your AI

Drive Taskpile from Claude or any MCP agent: add, complete, and plan tasks by chatting.
